Think beyond the front of the box.
Start with the physical object
Measurements, opening direction, print process and shipping conditions all shape a package. Request the printer’s current dieline and confirm folds, trim, bleed and safe areas before final artwork.
Read it at its real size
A presentation mockup can hide small type and weak contrast. Print a simple proof, fold it and examine the information hierarchy. Keep required product information separate from decorative copy.
Questions for production
- Which colour system and file standard does the supplier require?
- Will the chosen finish affect legibility or recycling?
- Who approves the final physical proof?
